Tosti – Known for Bubbles for Over 200 Years

Benvenuto in Italia, welcome to Italy! In the heart of Piedmont in the Langhe region lies Tosti's over 200-year-old beverage house. The beautiful wine-growing landscapes of the Canelli area were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. It is the cradle of Italian sparkling wines: both the Charmat method and the traditional method used in Italy are known to have originated right there.

Tosti is one of the world's most significant Moscato d'Asti DOCG producers. Moscato is a particularly important grape variety for them because it represents the culture and traditions of Tosti's home region. You can read more about the Moscato variety here.

The majority of Tosti's sparkling wines are made using the Charmat method. The driest of Tosti's sparkling wines are the Secco and Extra Dry labeled products, although even these are not completely bone-dry. The Demi-Sec label adds a bit more sweetness. The famous Tosti Asti Dolce, on the other hand, is "dolce," meaning sweet.

From Tosti's sparkling wine family, you can organize a nice wine tasting for a gathering with friends. You can download a printable A3-sized tasting sheet from Viikon Viini here.
