A warm-colored and velvety smooth label adorns the new Finnish favorite wine Vinhas do Ocidente, whose aroma is rich and flavor so fruity that it feels slightly sweet. The special label is a natural choice for a family estate that owns 750 hectares of cork-producing forest. It's their renewable local product. The bottle opening, however, is sealed with a metal screw cap, which is part of the wine's environmentally responsible packaging. The Relvas winery family's roots are in the land
Alexandre Relvas leads the winery, which was born from a passion for Alentejo's unique and authentic nature. The family has earned its livelihood from agriculture for five generations, but Casa Relvas, founded in 1997, fulfilled a great dream of quality, responsibility, and sustainable development.
Consistent high quality defines the six million wine bottles produced annually, and they have won hundreds of awards and received excellent reviews from wine writers. The producer has been granted Earth Friendly winery status and implements numerous environmental protection projects alongside wine production. Relvas also pursues sustainable development through social and economic projects. Five percent of Relvas's production consists of certified organic wines.
