Barón de Ley Rosado is perfect as a social wine, a delightful aperitif, and pairs wonderfully with seafood, fatty fish or dipping vegetables.

This wine, made from dark Tempranillo and Garnacha Tinta grapes, underwent maceration at a low temperature for just 8 hours to achieve the necessary color and structural contact with the skins. After removing the stems, the juice fermented into wine in cooled stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 16°C. The grapes were grown on 30-year-old vines near the village of Mendavia at an altitude of 400 meters, in a climate that blends continental and Mediterranean influences. Here, the grapes are traditionally hand-harvested. The result is a classic, often seen on the tables of high-end restaurants during the summer.

Producer story

Bodegas Barón de Ley is a respected Spanish wine producer with over 1000 hectares of vineyards in the Rioja regions of Cenicero, Mendavia, Ausejo, and Carboneras. The headquarters of Barón de Ley is located in Mendavia, within a magnificent building complex constructed in 1548 by the Count of Eguía as his fortress and stronghold. Over the years, the estate transformed from a Benedictine monastery where monks raised sheep and produced wine under their command until 1836. Subsequently, the estate had several powerful owners. After various stages, the property returned to the ownership of Barón de Ley's founders in the 1980s.
