Parés Baltà organic winery is a centuries-old family business.

Parés Baltà winery was founded in 1790 and remains a family business to this day. The first vines around the estate were planted in 1790, and nearly 200 years later, in 1978, Joan Cusiné Hill acquired the estate. Today, Parés Baltà winery is run by his grandchildren, Joan and Josep Cusiné Carol, the sons of Joan and Maria. Winemaking is handled by Joan and Josep's wives, Maria Elena Jiménez and Marta Casas. Wine is made with great passion, and the charmingly delightful Cusiné family warmly welcomes all wine lovers to their estate, located just a short distance from Barcelona.
Some of the vineyards are located in the heart of nature reserves
The Cusiné Carol family's vineyards are spread across five villages about 10 kilometers from the Mediterranean, in the varied terrain of Penedès, valleys and mountains. The vineyards are located at different elevations above sea level, between 176 and 749 meters, and there are high hills between them, which means the grapes are grown in both Mediterranean and continental climates, as well as transitional zones. Some of the vineyards are located in the heart of nature reserves where the grapes grow in an almost magical peace.

Environmental friendliness is at the core of everything Parés Baltà does
Parés Baltà cultivates fourteen different grape varieties. Through careful selection, they produce characterful, great wines. In winter, over a thousand sheep graze in the vineyards, so artificial fertilization is not needed. All of Parés Baltà's production is certified organic and the wines are also suitable for vegans. Production is carried out biodynamically and the vineyards are Demeter-certified. Organic farming avoids the use of chemicals and supports the activity of bees as pollinators of the vines during their flowering season. Some of Parés Baltà's vineyards are located on centuries-old terraces, where wild boars, foxes, hares and golden eagles are a common sight. The vineyards are not artificially irrigated; rain is allowed to do this work. The first biodynamic experiments on selected vineyards were carried out in 2011, and a year later, encouraged by positive results, biodynamic farming began to be applied to all of Parés Baltà's vineyards. Biodynamic farming is based on biodiversity and astronomy and seeks to respect the cosmos's participation throughout the entire process.
Parés Baltà winery also has a strong connection to Finland

In May 1971, Spaniards Joan and Maria Angels Cusiné got married. After the wedding, they bought a camper van and set off for two months to Scandinavia on their honeymoon. At the end of their eventful journey, they arrived in Finland, which both fell head over heels for. Finnish culture, people and food made a lasting impression on the couple. Nine months later, the young couple's first child arrived in the world... These events marked the beginning of the Cusiné family's special relationship with Finland. The family has many friends in Finland, they are grateful and proud of their wines' success in Finland, and Parés Baltà's extensive product range has a wide and loyal consumer base in the cold north.

Parés Baltà's product range is extensive and suitable for many
The range includes, among others, the organic sparkling wine called Brut B, which is among Finland's most popular, as well as wines appreciated by top sommeliers, carefully selected and of very limited production. And of course everything in between. Parés Baltà is particularly proud of wines made from the region's indigenous varieties, Xarello and Garnacha.
