World Champion’s Refreshing Ginger-Orange Drink

How about a ginger-orange drink? Yes, please! What could be better than enjoying beautiful weather with friends and delicious homemade drinks.

Here's a first-class recipe straight from the master: cocktail world champion Greta Grönholm created this refreshing ginger-orange cocktail. You have to try this!

True to her title, Grönholm has made the world's best cocktail and built a long career in the restaurant industry. She's a cocktail designer and entrepreneur, and also serves as chair of the Finnish Bartenders and Supporters Association FBSK. Below you'll find the fruit of her creativity, a rosé wine-based ginger-orange drink called Rose B&G By My Ginger.

For this cocktail you'll need Barton & Guestier Rosé plus just some Russian mixer (such as Schweppes), about a centimeter piece of ginger, and a few strips of orange peel. Chill the drink to the perfect serving temperature with ice cubes and garnish with flowers if you like. Then cheers!

Rose B&G By My Ginger

12 cl Barton & Guestier Rosé

4 cl Russian mixer

1 cm ginger

3–4 pieces of orange peel

flowers

ice

Build the drink directly in the glass over ice. Add the ice first, then the peeled and sliced ginger, followed by long strips cut from the orange peel, which you can shape into spirals if you like, add the rosé wine and finally the Russian mixer (such as Schweppes).

Stir with a bar spoon or long-handled teaspoon (a regular spoon works too). Garnish with flowers if you like, and that's it!

"Ginger adds a kick, orange brings freshness, and Russchian provides lovely bubbles and flavor." -Greta Grönholm
