The Steingrubler Grand Cru plot is located in Wettolsheim, southwest of the city of Colmar and north of the classic village of Eguisheim. The plot is known since the 15th century. Steingrubler’s 23-hectare slopes open steeply to the southeast at an altitude of 280 to 350 meters. Riesling and Gewurztraminer are cultivated on the plot. Riesling grows on suitable upper slopes, in sandy clay and limestone soil. Under these conditions, the Riesling achieves good acidity and elegant mineralism. By nature, Steingrubler wines are full-bodied, aromatic and mature nicely.

Medium dry, acidic, notes of citrus, spicy

Producer story

Wolfberger is an over-century-old cooperative and one of the largest wine producers in France, being the largest in Alsace.
