Averna is a Sicilian amaro that has been produced since 1868 according to a secret recipe. ILLVA Saronno acquired the Averna brand from Gruppo Campari in spring 2026. I.L.L.V.A. stands for Industria Lombarda Liquori Vini & Affini. ILLVA is a family-owned company based in Saronno, Italy. In Sicily, ILLVA Saronno also owns the historic Florio Marsala brand, Isolabella Limoncello, and the Duca di Salaparuta winery.
