the wine is particularly well suited to shellfish and oily fish. Also try it with asparagus and hard cheeses.

The grapes used for this wine come from five different vineyards in the Südsteiermark production area in Sausal. The wines from the different premises are vinified separately and finally blended together. After a short (4 to 8 hours) maceration, the grapes were pressed gently and slowly. Fermented in steel tanks in a temperature-controlled manner at a temperature of 19 to 20 °C. The wine was matured for a few more months on top of the wine lees in steel tanks before final blending.

Wohlmuth is a family estate founded in the early 1800s, located in Southern Styria, Südsteiermark, Austria, near the border with Slovenia. The estate spans a total of 65 hectares, predominantly cultivating white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Chardonnay. The estate's key vineyards include Altenberg, Edelschuh, Gola, Sausaler Schlössl, Einöd, and Steinriegel, which have been recognized as the best vineyards in Styria since the 1400s. Today, Wohlmuth is run by Maria and Gerhard, along with their son Gerhard Jr. and his wife Marion. The core values of the estate are: respect for nature, unwavering commitment to quality, sensitivity, and sustainability. Consequently, their wines are also certified organic.
