Seaspray Sauvignon Blanc is a single-vineyard wine with distinctive mineral seashell aromas and vibrant acidity, influenced by the nearby ocean. Aromas of kaffir lime, capsicum, and freshly picked herbs reflect the cooler, windier coastal area of Awatere in Marlborough, where these young Sauvignon Blanc vines struggle to grow in sandy gravel soils. The 2022 growing season started well, with minimal frost. Early summer was cool, but late-season moisture balanced the conditions. This wine carries remarkable intensity, which will only deepen as the vines mature.
