El Pacto is a return to our ancestors' way of making wine
Welcome to El Pacto! This Hacienda López de Haro organic wine conveys the mutual respect between human hands, the vineyard, and nature.

It's made according to the traditions of the winemakers who came before us, who worked in harmony with the lunar cycle. The old vines, over 70 years old, in La Sonsierra give us Tempranillo at its best. The grapes are hand-selected in October, the wine ferments with natural yeast, and its structure and aromas are enhanced by 14 months of aging in French oak barrels.
This gives you a noble companion for refined meat dishes or even to pair with a cheese platter!
In flavor, El Pacto is full-bodied, tannic, dark cherry, chocolatey, and spicy.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This video tells El Pacto's wonderful story many times over.
The Winemaker's Story
Behind El Pacto is the producer Hacienda López de Haro, which belongs to the Vintae wine group.
"We are restless, creative, and rebellious. We are free thinkers who want to revolutionize the wine world without losing our soul. We bottle stories and tell them as we go," says Vintae CEO Ricardo Arambarri. More than a wine company, Vintae is a party you wouldn't want to miss. Luckily, the invitation comes with every bottle, and there are plenty of bottles to go around.
Vintae's roots are in Rioja, but they now operate in 15 different appellations. Each wine began as a project that challenged the traditional way of seeing and doing things. At Vintae, they've dared to dream, try, and work hard. And to reinvent, to change the world. And to have fun. "We are enthusiasts when it comes to wine. We make wine, we drink it, and we even sell it."
Vintae is a fascinating company that's rewarding to follow. A visit to any of their locations is an eye-opening experience. Conversation flows easily from ancient Roman cellars to ultra-modern winemaking. Vintae is young in age but old in roots. A radical that knows what it's changing and why.
