Old Virginia 6 Years Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
“A well-matured softly oaky American whiskey with smooth vanilla notes”
The heritage of distilling whiskey arrived in America with the Scottish and Irish immigrants. Bourbon as a drink evolved into its current form during the 19th century. The product can be sold as Bourbon, if it is manufactured in the United States, is made of 51% corn, and has been matured in new internally burned oak casks for more than three months. Straight Bourbon means, that the product has matured in oak for at least two years. Old Virginia Straight Bourbon has been matured for six years.
Medium-bodied, amber, dried apricot, coconut, mildly spicy, no smokiness
Producer story
The Old Virginia brand is owned by the French company La Martiniquaise-Bardinet conglomerate. La Martiniquaise is a privately owned family business. Jean Cayard founded the La Martiniquaise company in 1934, and the company is still owned by the Cayard family. The group is the second-largest alcohol industry company in France.
